All suppliers and subcontractors are required to submit evidence of insurance via the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) during the onboarding process.


Suppliers are responsible for maintaining Coupa with their updated information. They must maintain their details and compliance information – including their insurance information, throughout their contract with Mitie.


Fourteen days prior to your insurance information being due to expire within Coupa, Mitie will issue automated reminders to suppliers to update their information in Coupa. Suppliers must update their information prior to the expiry date to remain compliant. Failure to maintain compliance may impact their ability to do business with Mitie.

The table below sets out the minimum insurance requirements which are required to become a Mitie preferred supplier.

Please note that Mitie are required to provide significantly higher limits of insurance to our clients and therefore in some cases we may request higher limits for certain contracts or projects.

Only in exceptional circumstances can Mitie accept insurances that do not meet our minimum standards.

Note
Employers Liability  £10m – Any one Claim Employers Liability insurance
is a statutory requirement in
the UK for any business with
1 or more employees. Sole
Traders are exempt.
Public and Products Liability
(Also known as General or
Third-Party Liability)		 £10m – Any one Claim This provides cover for
loss/damage/injury to
persons or property due to
the negligence of the
supplier.
Professional Indemnity £5m – Any one Claim Covers professional activities
of the supplier including
Design, Specification and
advisory related services.
